Amid this situation, the team’s new lead assistant coach, Jeff Van Gundy, had also missed a game, citing a family medical matter.

Joey Linn of Sports Illustrated reported that Van Gundy will miss another couple of weeks, dealing with a family medical issue. Meanwhile, Ty Lue won’t pick up the board in tonight’s game against the Grizzlies, as he is still recovering from his back pain.
