WNBA Vet Comforts Angel Reese’s Life as Tyler Marsh Has Zero Complaints About Chicago Star

The new look Chicago Sky is ready with their arsenal – perimeter shooting, facilitators, and defense, all set. And at the center of it? Angel Reese. The star was at the receiving end of the criticism last season for missing some easy baskets in the paint, followed by defensive lapses that put her side in trouble at times. But the Chi-Town Barbie might have just embodied, new season, new her.

“I thought Angel embraced our new philosophy and our new scheme, especially defensively,” Marsh said before the start of the 2025 season. But she isn’t the only one contributing to the largely the roster.

The front office has added pieces like Hailey Van Lith, Ajša Sivka, and Maddy Westbeld, complementing the 2023 NCAA Champion. But the most important of them all?

The Sky franchise needed veteran leadership on the side to guide them on the floor during the close games. So they called up their former player, Courtney Vandersloot. And let’s just say her veteran presence is working magic for the roster. “Sloot’s a great vet. She’s a great leader. She’s made my life easier and I’m sure Kamilla’s as well,” Angel Reese admitted.

Reese: “Sloot’s a great vet. She’s a great leader. She’s made my life easier and I’m sure Kamilla’s as well.”
