Will Trae Young Play Tonight vs Warriors? Hawks’ Injury Report Shows Major Concern for 3 Stars

4 min read

The Warriors are in extraordinary form winning 9 out of the last 10 games played with only bump faced against the Nuggets. So, for anyone coming their way, is never going to be easy, at least not in this season. And up next they face the Hawks, who otherwise have an average season with 33-36 on the record. But most of it came from their best bet, Trae Young. His number? 35, 17, 28, 31. No, those aren’t the lottery numbers. That’s Trae Young‘s points tally in the last 4 games. Apart from the Hornets, Young and co. fell to the Nets and the Clippers. At this point, HC Quin Snyder would be scratching his head in disbelief, wondering what he could do for his team to help the one guy going ballistic. More to the concern, is the big bet playing the next one?

And why it is a worry for the Hawks? If they slip further, their season is done. They are still sitting 7th in the East hoping for the Bucks and Pistons to crumble down. But another way, with just 12 regular season games to go, their best shot of making it into the playoffs is through the play-ins. But for that, they have to bring consistency. But possible to stop the Warriors’ chariot? Having Trae in the squad will be priceless, but does Snyder have that option for tonight?

Hawks injury report ahead of Warriors clash

Despite his numbers, Ice Trae is unable to help the team crack the code for wins. Though his numbers look good through the Hawks’ lens, the team needs more from their top star. Worse, his right Achilles tendinitis has been disturbing him throughout the season. Hawks’ medical team is closely monitoring his condition, prioritizing his long-term availability for the post-season. But good news for them, Young is listed as day-to-day for their Saturday game and mostly will lock horns as the Warriors make a stop at Atlanta. But what about the rest?

Though the Hawks star looks confident to come and hit the court, there’s more to the worry. The team will miss out on 3 players who might not feature at the State Farm tonight. The most likely of the three is the guard Keaton Wallace, who’s been availability will be a game-time decision. He’s been dealing with a shoulder sprain for a while and also missed the College Park Skyhawks’ 112-89 loss to the Capital City Go-Go on Sunday. With too many in the least, the rest of the team will have to pull their socks up. But the list of injuries is long.

Next on the list is Clint Capela, who’s confirmed to be out for the Warriors game tonight. A recent MRI revealed that he is nursing a ligament injury in the fourth metacarpal of his left hand. His situation will be re-evaluated in another 3-4 weeks, which confirms his absence for the rest of the regular season at least. But Jalen Johnson is out of the season due to left shoulder surgery.

The worry doesn’t stop there. Even shooting guard Caris LeVert, is listed as probable for the game as he continues to recover from his right knee injury. In short, the Hawks have a tough task ahead, but they aren’t giving it up easily at their home. But what is their predicted lineup?

Hawks predicted lineup ahead of Warriors clash

With Larry Nance, Jalen Johnson, and Kobe Bufkin losing out on the rest of the season, their injury list puts Quin between a rock and a hard place. That being said, this is the Hawks’ predicted lineup to face the Warriors tonight:

Point Guard
Trae Young

Shooting Guard
Dyson Daniels

Power Forward
Mouhamed Gueye

Small Forward
Zaccharie Risacher

Center
Onyeka Okongwu

It’s a huge game for both the teams in Atlanta tonight. Despite the Golden State’s impressive form, they need this win to solidify a spot in the auto playoffs position. A win for the Hawks would mean that they’ll inch that much further away from an inconsistent Magic squad. Do you think they can get it over the line or Trae Young and co. hit at their confidence?
