The Giants are not letting WR Darius Slayton cross their threshold. John Mara‘s team has locked in Darius with them for another three years. On Monday, the Giants’ front office and Darius agreed on a three-year deal worth $36 million. Some Giants fans are not too happy about this decision by the team’s management. But someone else certainly is – Darius Slayton’s girlfriend, Anna Hall. The 23-year-old did not shy away from sending her love to the Giants star on his new contract with the team. Anna posted a story on her IG, sharing a picture of Darius. She captioned it, “goooo (celebrating emojis)” and also left a little note writing, “happy for you (heart emoji).”
Now that we’re talking about Anna, here’s a little more about her.
Who is Anna Hall?
Well, you might remember Anna’s name if you followed the 2024 Paris Olympics. Hall represented the USA in Heptathlon and was ranked 5th. A native of Denver, Anna was born to Ronette and David Hall. Her knack for sports came from her father, who was a QB and also played basketball during his college years. During high school, the 23-year-old won the New Balance Nationals pentathlon championship three times. Anna was the star of Valor Christian High School. During her sophomore year, she bagged first place in the Pan American U20 Championships.
It was then time to rock the track at Georgia Bulldogs. In 2021, life threw a curveball at Anna as she injured her left foot during the Olympic trials. The Florida alum had surgery to repair her foot, and it took almost four months before Hall could even walk properly. Following that, Anna changed schools from Georgia to the University of Florida. Anna’s trophy case holds two World Championships. A gold medal from 2022 Eugene and a silver medal in Heptathlon at the 2023 Budapest Championships.
Fate on the Track (and Field): How Darius and Anna met
Anna kind of soft-launched Darius when she posted a picture of them together. The 23-year-old wrapped her arms around Slayton as the couple sat on a beach offshore. Darius’ face in the picture was not clear as the shot was taken from a distance. But the internet police can dig out anything. The same thread also had Hall’s picture from an NFL game, confirming things further.
“All the things,” Anna captioned the post, kind of giving a hint to her followers. And then in December, the Olympian hard-launched Darius on her Instagram as she posted a picture with him from the Giants game. Anna shared a couple of photos in that one, summing up her 2024, which also included Darius as a part.
“Bye 2024 2024 was a lot. A lot of priceless moments (too many to count!), a lot of family, a lot of challenges & growth, but so much fun. This life is a blessing ” she captioned her post. How the couple crossed paths is still not known. But ever since she posted Darius, she often shares their pictures with her followers. And now, after the Giants deal, she has openly sent her love to her partner. All in all, it’s all love and butterflies for the new couple in NFL town.
