Linn Grant, a professional golfer from Helsingborg, Sweden, turned pro in August 2021 following a standout collegiate career at Arizona State University. In 2022, she made history as the first woman to win on the DP World Tour (formerly the European Tour) at the Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed, securing an impressive 9-stroke victory. Her strongest pillars of support always have been her parents, John Grant and Maria Grant. Her father is a former professional golfer. He played on the Swedish Golf Tour and has managed to bag seven wins under his name there. Later on, before he retired from professional golf, he also played as a part of the Swedish Seniors Tour. Linn Grant has been in a relationship with fellow Swedish golfer Pontus Samuelson for over four years, with their connection dating back to high school. Pontus is currently a sophomore at Limestone University, where he’s majoring in Business Administration/Economics while also competing as a student-athlete. Both Linn and Pontus have been passionate about golf from a young age. While Linn is making waves on international golf courses, Pontus is carving out his path, making an impact in his college golf career.

Although he is still in his initial years of the game, he has still managed to make a big name for himself. Pontus Samuelson won the GCAA Division II PING AII-Southeast Region and was also a medalist at the South Atlantic Conference Championship. He was also in the South Atlantic Conference All-Tournamnet Team, and All-South Atlantic Conference Third Team in 2022. He also accompanied Linn Grant a couple of times on the greens and has been a big cheerleader for her. During the European Tour’s seven-week break, Linn Grant traveled to South Korea to compete in two tournaments. This trip marked the last time Pontus Samuelson caddied for her, as he chose to focus on his career.
