Tom Kim has not had the greatest start for the new season. He finished T6 at the Sony Open, which was followed by a missed cut at the American Express. He made his debut on TGL a few hours ago, as part of Tiger Woods’s team, and well, that was a turning point for him. The young star brought a surge of energy to match that was felt by both the fans in attendance and his fellow competitors on the course.
While previous matches had been marked by blowouts and lackluster play, Kim’s dynamic presence and a more closely contested battle created an atmosphere of excitement that energized the entire evening. Big names are key to drawing in viewers, on Monday it was Kim—through his combination of impressive shots and showmanship—that made TGL trend on social media Monday night. He was undeniably the standout player, delivering exactly what the league needs to inject energy into a format like this. Now the question is, where will he appear next?
The second Signature event on the PGA Tour is scheduled to take place from January 30 to February 2. Just like the other ones, the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am too will have a limited-field with an increased prize money of $20 million purse, and FedExCup points (700 points to the winner). The list was released just a few hours ago, and as it turns out, Tom Kim will be a part of the prestigious event. Last year, he finished at T31 in the event with a 1-under. He will be looking forward to making a compensation for the poor performance this year.

Irrespective of whether he is able to clinch the trophy or not this weekend, he sure has benched his name in the golf world, with that one shot at TGL.
