Another game, another scary visual for the Dub Nation. The Golden State Warriors are playing the first game in their second-round series against the Minnesota Timberwolves. But despite having a commanding lead in the first half, things don’t look good for the Dubs. And it might be the worst-case scenario — an injury to Stephen Curry.
Early in the second quarter, the Warriors went on a 14-0 run, dominating the T-Wolves. But something seemed off with Steph. He seemed to be limping and signaled to the bench, asking for a sub. But things got a lot more concerning after Steph hit a floater, then started grabbing his hamstring.
Soon, head coach Steve Kerr called a timeout. And Steph headed straight to the locker room. Lauren Jbara, live reporter for TNT, followed up with Curry in the locker room. And she revealed that Steph had been ruled out of tonight’s game. “Steph Curry officially [has] a left hamstring strain. Will not return to tonight’s game,” she reported live on TNT’s broadcast.
In the 13 minutes that Steph managed to play, he put up 13 points, 1 rebound, and 1 assist. Seems that’s where his contributions end for the Dubs tonight. Nonetheless, a hamstring injury to Steph will ring war sirens within the Dubs – both organization and the fanbase.
