Momentum is starting to build for the Dallas Wings and standout rookie Paige Bueckers. With three wins in their last five games, the Wings are showing signs of turning the corner. Even in a recent loss to the Indiana Fever, Bueckers maintained her strong form, recording her fourth 20-plus point performance in that span. Her scoring consistency has been a major asset for Dallas as they prepare for their next challenge against another promising rookie tandem in Kiki Iriafen and Sonia Citron.
It was looking like a tasty match-up of the rookies, but the Wings have dealt with another injury setback as Paige has been ruled out of the Washington Mystics game with a knee injury. When or where she sustained this injury is unknown, but the Wings have to contain a storm of injuries with Maddy Siegrist, DiJonai Carrington, and Tyasha Harris already sustaining injuries. This injury makes things difficult and has come at an important time for the team, and could cause a setback to their earlier form.
