What Happened to Cooper Flagg? Scary On-Court Moment Sparks Concerns Over Duke Star’s March Madness Status

1 min read

We all know that Duke’s postseason hopes rest on Cooper Flagg. The Blue Devils have dominated conference play, winning the regular season championship. However, an injury scare in the ACC Tournament quarterfinals could put a damper on Jon Scheyer’s parade.

Cooper Flagg’s playoff game against Georgia Tech took an unfortunate turn when he injured his ankle. While grabbing a defensive rebound, the six-foot-nine forward rolled his ankle as he landed late in the first half.

Flagg had to be assisted off the court by his teammates and was visibly limping. Not only that, Duke’s medical team took him to get assessed in a wheelchair. It is unclear whether it’s a serious injury, but scans are underway.

Consensus 2025 No. 1 overall pick Cooper Flagg landed very awkwardly on his ankle full force after grabbing a rebound.

Flagg had to be walked off the court by his teammates.

Hope it’s nothing that will keep Flagg out of March Madness for Duke. pic.twitter.com/gitYwYMuL5
