Visuals Confirm Buddy Hield’s Explicit Batman Thoughts as Jimmy Butler Dynamic Takes Unexpected Turn

4 min read

There have been a lot of arguments within the Golden State Warriors. Well, between Jimmy Butler and Buddy Hield in particular. Almost every time they do a press conference, their hilarious dynamic compels the media to ask some questions. Butler calls Stephen Curry Batman and himself Robin. Hield’s latest response to those claims had the entire NBA community crying with laughter. “He’s Alfred. His name is Butler,” he said about his Warriors teammate.

But who is Buddy Hield? Does he agree with being the Joker, as Jimmy Butler jokingly said? There’s been a lot of speculation. Luckily, fans in San Francisco got the answer to the question. One excited fan walked up to Hield and gave him the mantle of being the real Batman of the team. The former Kings sharpshooter did relish it for a while.

But as it turns out, he thinks he is neither Batman nor Robin. “F**k Batman. I’m a Power Ranger,” he told the fans that gathered to meet him.

If his shooting prowess can be considered his unique power, Hield might as well be the Power Ranger for the Warriors. But most would be thinking about the same thing right now. What does Jimmy Butler think of his deduction? We know he will most likely react and have something to say.

Until there is time to crack jokes and stay light, the Dub Nation genuinely enjoys watching their brotherhood exist on the Warriors. However, they have a massive task back home. Stephen Curry is said to miss both the home games. And after giving away Game 2, the Warriors are tasked with winning just one more game.

Curry is asking for chance to fight for the Warriors’ playoff life. As of right now, Butler and Jimmy Butler are his lifelines to prolong the series until he does return from his hamstring strain. For that, Buddy Hield can’t be a Power Ranger.

The time Buddy Hield became Batman

Buddy Hield’s performances have been volatile this season. He began the year by being a dangerous shooting presence for the Warriors. Then his production dipped. That pattern has also been the case in the postseason. However, the Bahamian guard did the most when it was all down to winning under adverse conditions.

When Stephen Curry left the game after playing just 13 minutes, both Hield and Butler ensured the Warriors don’t let themselves start the series with a loss. For that game, Draymond Green promoted 32 year old to Robin for his contributions. But Hield’s shooting performance was integral in beating the Wolves in Game 1.

To him, it was the most important aspect of the Warriors’ victory. So with Butler sitting besides him, Hield didn’t waste any time to reassemble the roles. “I’m Batman today. I saved the day. He’s still Robin,” he said about his performance.

But be it Batman, Power Ranger or a combination of both, the Warriors need the best of Buddy Hield during their homestand. The former three-point contest champion has shown he can rise to the occasion. Think about the Game 7 against the Rockets where Hield splashed a record 9 triples to lead the Warriors to victory.

The Bay needs that sort of a performance from him once again. Ideally, they would want it for both games. But even if the Warriors can win one game against the Anthony Edwards led Timberwolves team, the series could have a chance at balance being restored once Stephen Curry returns from his ailment.
