After an injury sidelined Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence from last season’s campaign, he entered the ‘25 offseason with a bigger chip on his shoulder. For the most part, he has been barreling through HC Liam Coen’s blueprint with absolute ease and a veteran finesse. But with the stakes rising every day that September inches closer, the star QB is notably not happy with the way things have unfolded at the camp recently.
On a recent Jaguars’ training camp presser, Lawrence admitted that practice had gone south for the day. “Today was one of our worst days as an offense,” Lawrence admitted. “I just felt like we were moving a little slow coming off the off day, just need to bring a little bit more juice next time. And just, you know, one play at a time.” Penalties, missed assignments, and bad reads by the QB. The August 5 camp had “just a little bit of everything.” The mission now will be to learn from the mistakes and camp and flip the script when the regular season begins.
But that was only the beginning of the bad updates in store for Jacksonville. Their rising rookie star, Travis Hunter, faces a steep climb ahead of him despite his draft status and college pedigree.
Stay tuned, this story is developing…
