Kishane Thompson is back! And he is living up to the expectations one has from a 100m Olympic silver medalist. Not that he wasn’t before. He had already registered wins in 4 out of 5 individual races this season. But the fifth one that he just added is surely a cut above! At the 2025 Racers Grand Prix this Saturday, Kishan Thompson was going up against a stacked field. There was Oblique Seville and the U20 World Champion (also former world lead this season), Bayanda Walaza. But when D-Day arrived, none was a match for Thompson!
Yes, at the Racers Grand Prix 2025, Kishane Thompson ran a blistering 9.88-second run to grab the top spot in the race. His time is now the fourth fastest time in the world this season. Also, in doing so, he left Bayanda Walaza in the dust as the youngster followed in fourth in 10.06 seconds, missing the podium entirely.
