Logan Paul and his brother Jake Paul have recently released a family reality TV show, titled ‘Paul American’. Therein, the Paul brothers made some revelations regarding their personal lives that the world didn’t really know already. Unfortunately, the TV show attracted nothing but trouble for the ex-Disney stars, with only a 2/10 rating on IMDb and 36% on Rotten Tomatoes. If that was not enough, little could they have known that Dillon Danis was also lying in wait to lash back at the WWE star. Now, the question is – What made Danis furious at Logan Paul again?
It seemed like ‘El Jefe’ stumbled across ‘The Maverick’s quotes after MMA Fighting shared it all on Instagram. Paul said, “I was looking for my next big fight and there was this guy that I thought could sell pay-per-views and so I chose him as my dance partner, and that ended up being the worst mistake of my life.” But he wasn’t done yet! The WWE star went on, “If I didn’t say all of this here, and we never talk about him again, he dies. The only people giving that dude life is us. This guy had no interest in actually fighting me, a fellow man, that he signed up to fight. He just signed up to pick a fight with my girl.”
Needless to say, Danis was frustrated with everything that had been going around with Nina Agdal and Logan Paul. With a lawsuit running since 2023, ‘El Jefe’ has often revealed his stress on the internet. But this time, it was all about the fight against Paul, which ended in his defeat via DQ. He shared the post by MMA Fighting on his Instagram Story and captioned, “Logan acts like he’s some great guy when he’s done way worse. I made this the biggest event of his life and now he can’t let it go and continues to try to ruin my life.”
Back in September 2023, Nina Agdal finally took a stand for herself and filed a lawsuit against Danis, along with a restraining order. Danis was posting images of Agdal, some of which she claimed came from her private archives and could not have been obtained without hacking. The damages she sought was around $150,000.
Of course, Danis has been troubled with more than just the lawsuit. He has fought only once since his last Bellator fight against Max Humphrey in 2019. And ever since then, he had four of his bouts canceled. And one of these fights was slated against Olajide Olatunji, the man popularly known as KSI.
Dillon Danis expresses concern over fight cancellations
Danis found a shallow ray of hope when he was fixed to land against Tony Ferguson on 25 May, under the banner of Global Fight League. However, things took an unforeseen turn as the primary investor didn’t really fulfill their obligations in April. The founder of GFL, Darren Owen, pointed out that things were certainly going forward. But ‘El Jefe’ was already broken down.
Taking to X, Danis expressed his frustration and wrote, “Being real, I’m frustrated as hell. I wanted to stay as active as possible for myself and for everyone who supports me in 2025. First KSI cancelled on me, then said he wouldn’t be fit to reschedule. We couldn’t lock in a replacement. I said yes to everyone. And now with the Tony Ferguson fight being moved, I get the criticism. I know what people say about me not fighting.” He continued, “I don’t want that to be the narative, and I’ve been doing everything I can to change it. I just want to back up everything I’ve been saying and prove I’m the best in the world. Sorry, everyone.”
No doubt, things would soon turn for the better for Danis. Just like he talked things out with his former training partner, Conor McGregor, and revamped his friendship with him, Danis can definitely try and build himself at GFL. But how will he do that? I guess we’d have to wait and watch the story unfold.
