Troubling Times Ahead for Warriors as Visuals Confirm Old Stephen Curry Injury Resurfacing After Rockets Win

2 min read

Sunday’s Warriors vs Rockets clash proved why Stephen Curry is still one of the most lethal offensive players in the league. The Bay Area team headed to Houston hoping to win the playoffs opener on the road and gain a massive edge in the series. Like a true leader, Steph took charge, dropping 31 points against West’s second-seeded team. Sure enough, the Warriors won. But it seemingly took a lot out of Curry. Yes, the Baby-Faced Assassin was hurt!

After the miraculous win, Steph showed up to the postgame presser with a concerning look. His right hand was completely ice wrapped. Looks like he reaggravated the thumb injury he suffered a couple of weeks ago during the Blazers encounter. The incident occurred when Curry jammed his thumb on Justin Manaya’s knee. While the injury did not sideline him, he played the remainder of the game with his hand wrapped. Moreover, his performance also took a hit, as he scored only 14 points on 6 of 14 shooting.

Well, if his old injury has resurfaced, it could mean trouble for the Warriors. There are still three more games left to win and it will be a huge challenge if Steph is not a 100%.
