A couple of years back, Travis Kelce and Justin Timberlake were already out there making some noise together—and not just at concerts or games. They teamed up at the first-ever 8AM Golf Invitational in Vegas, and it was a whole vibe. Kelce, along with Patrick Mahomes, actually ended up winning the thing, barely beating out Chace Crawford and Kathryn Newton by one stroke. And it wasn’t just golf — they even threw in a poker night that raised over $600K for charity. No big deal, just a casual superstar weekend.
And honestly, their chemistry was hilarious. At one point during the tournament, Kelce got so hyped that he went for a side bump with Timberlake—and basically wrecked him. JT joked later on The Tonight Show that Kelce’s “friendly” hit gave him a stiff neck for a whole week. Still, no hard feelings — Timberlake couldn’t stop talking about how Kelce’s literally the nicest guy ever.
Fast forward to now, and the friendly banter between these two continues. In fact, Travis joined JT along with his brother, Jason Kelce, Olympian Michael Phelps, NBA star Blake Griffin, and comedian Andrew Santino at JT’s annual 8AM Invitational celebrity golf tournament at the Wynn Golf Club. And yeah, just like its inaugural event, Travis’s turned out to be a winner, beating Michael Phelps.
Right after that, Santino took it to his official IG handle and shared a few pictures of the event, featuring Travis, JT, and other celebrities. And get this, it marks the first appearance of Travis since the Chiefs lost the Super Bowl to the Eagles a little more than two months ago. And let’s just say, the 35-year-old tight end had a great time as he wrote a message to Santino on his post, “What a timeeee!!!”
Now, here’s the interesting part. Because if you’re thinking that it was just a one-time thing, think again. Santino confirmed that they’re going to do it again next year. “We’ll run it back again next year,” the comedian replied to Travis.
Besides being a part of the golf event, the Kelce brothers also attended the boys’ night out with the pop singer, as they’re spotted playing cards. The Chiefs’ tight end and Timberlake have been friends for years, and their frequent appearance during the 8AM golf event just confirmed their friendship. If we’re not wrong, then Travis once confessed Timberlake as “the most famous person” on his phone’s contacts list—aside from Taylor Swift.
As for Jason… well, let’s just say the Eagles’ legend just want to get better at golf as he replied his brother’s comment, writing, “Our group was a slap dick capacity. It was fantastic. I really think if I can get this putting fixed I’ll break 80.” Well, indeed. When a bunch of buddies unite together, it’s surely going to be disorganized and not exactly professional.
As for his “breaking 80”, well, as Santino confirmed that they’re coming back next year, let’s hope the Eagles’ legend fulfills his promise next year. But while some relationships are strengthening, some are being cut loose…
Travis Kelce unfollows Ryan Reynolds
Travis Kelce has stirred up some attention after unfollowing Ryan Reynolds on Instagram, and the move has definitely sparked a lot of social media buzz.
While the reasons behind the social media shift are unclear, fans are already speculating about what it means, especially with Kelce’s love connection to Taylor Swift. Kelce and Reynolds haven’t had much direct interaction in public, and neither has addressed their relationship beyond their ties to Swift, making the unfollow even more intriguing.
The social media move comes months after Reynolds and Lively became embroiled in an unrelated legal matter: a $400 million defamation lawsuit filed by director Justin Baldoni in late 2024, alleging a coordinated smear campaign connected to the production of It Ends With Us. Swift was not named in the lawsuit, but her proximity to key figures involved fueled online speculation throughout the winter. At the time, fans speculated about tensions between Swift and Lively, particularly after Lively was not seen at major public events where Swift was present, including the 2025 Super Bowl, where Kelce and Swift’s relationship was a central media storyline.
However, no credible reporting ever confirmed a fallout between Swift and Lively. In fact, the two were later seen attending private industry events together this spring, suggesting that any strain, if it existed, had been resolved or overstated.
While there’s no evidence of a rift between Swift and Lively, Kelce’s unfollow of Reynolds adds a new wrinkle to the ongoing story. For now, it’s unclear if this social media shift is anything more than a minor change or if it hints at something bigger brewing behind the scenes.
