Former UFC double champion Henry Cejudo recently found himself in a fight, but not inside the Octagon or in the gym while training. In fact, a horrific hit-and-run accident took place near his residence, prompting him to take swift action. When media outlets got the word about the accident, they rushed to ‘Triple C’s residence as he shared some details about what went down on Friday night.
In an Instagram video, Henry Cejudo explains that he was out with his producer, presumably filming videos for his YouTube channel, when he saw a car crash into his neighbor’s house. Claiming that the vehicle was filled with a group of teenage kids, the ex-champ revealed that the car crashed into the house at a scary 80 miles an hour speed. “Just had a group of teenagers maybe doing about eighty miles an hour. Just coming out with my producer Dylan Rush [when I saw the accident]… They smashed into my neighbor’s yard,” Henry Cejudo stated.
Having almost fatally injured someone, the driver, whose identity remains unknown at this time, tried to make an escape and even got into a scuffle with a homeless person. Henry Cejudo decided to stay put as authorities were on the way, but he had to intervene when the driver attacked his neighbor, a senior citizen, leading him to subdue him. Guy [the driver] got up and tried to leave. He ended up assaulting the homeless. I thought these guys had guns. Once he hit my neighbor, I was like, ‘Alright, man’… He’s in his 60s,” ‘Triple C’.
During an interview some time later with ‘MMA Junkie’, Henry Cejudo also revealed that his neighbors just barely escape death, as he took care of the culprit after the latter got a bit rowdy following the crash. “You can see inside this room, if someone was standing in there, they would be dead. All these kids are lucky to be alive… Pretty much all my neighbours came in to fight the situation. I ended up lifting him, dropping him, slapped him around a little bit, and just pretty much controlled him… If it was a couple hours earlier, someone would be seriously injured,” Cejudo added.
