There is a bit of hype building around Augusta right now. The final day is poised to be an exciting one with all the anticipation and anxiety hitting a crescendo at 2:30 PM ET when the final pairing, consisting of Rory McIlroy and Bryson DeChambeau, is expected to tee off. The Masters has not disappointed so far, and patrons will be looking to see more of the same. But there is a possible villain that could foil the proceedings: the weather. The climate did give a warning during the first day of practice on Monday, as the round was suspended due to thunderstorms and rain. It again reared its head on Friday, with windy conditions proving to be a real headscratcher. What is the status like on Sunday, the final round of the 2025 Masters?

Weather on Sunday at the Masters 2025

Expect more of the same as Saturday during the final round as well. As per AccuWeather, it will be sunny, with very little cloud cover during the entirety of the day. Despite the sun, the temperature caps off at 22° C(71.6°F), but there is a high UV Index of 9 for the day. So load up on the sunscreens if you are heading out anywhere in Augusta.

There is no chance of rain disrupting play while the winds are also likely to be at bay, with speeds staying at a low 9 km/h(5.6 mph) while there might be occasional gusts at 22 km/h(13.7 mph). The evening is expected to be cooler, but the majority of the conditions are also predicted to hold throughout the day.

A lot of the country is just getting around to warm weather and outdoor activities and Augusta is so lush and beautiful with the piped in bird calls and shit, it feels like spring to me. https://t.co/4U9b8089KY

All in all, it is perfect golf-playing weather, something the pros on the field will be looking forward to. The likes of Rory McIlroy and Bryson DeChambeau will tee off last since they are leading the tournament. So, they will not have to worry about conditions worsening during the latter stages of the day.

There have been instances of weather becoming a spoilsport during the last day.

The weather is becoming a villain on the last day

Most recently it happened during the iconic PLAYERS Championship this year, when lightning in the nearby area forced the play to be suspended. Initially, tee times were pushed forward to combat the possibility of thunderclaps and rain, but play had to be suspended for some time from 1:15 PM ET.

The delay proved to be decisive as Rory McIlroy and JJ Spaun tied at the end of 72 holes. The playoff that was supposed to happen between the duo was shifted to Monday due to darkness creeping in, something that happened because of the suspension of the game in the afternoon.

Do you think the weather will play spoilsport at Augusta as the Masters gears for a showdown between Rory McIlroy and Bryson DeChambeau?
