Tavia Hunt Pens Emotional Note for Daughter Gracie as Chiefs Queen Sends 3-Word Faithful Message on Easter

5 min read

Tavia Hunt once said, We all have a God-shaped hole in our hearts, and no earthly success can ever truly satisfy. This life is short. We don’t get to take Lombardi trophies or championship rings to Heaven. These words, spoken after their heartbreaking loss against the Philadelphia Eagles at Super Bowl LIX, show us just how rooted she is in faith. This isn’t the first time she has spoken about faith, though. Her platform is a way for her to uphold her Christian values at all times. It is a powerful force for her that grounds the whole Hunt family. And now, she has another powerful message for a family member.

When Easter comes around, most families lean into reflection, renewal, and reconnecting with loved ones. For the Hunt family—yes, the same Hunts behind the Kansas City Chiefs—it was a bit more emotional this year. While KC buzzed with sports talk and swirling rumors, Tavia Hunt sent a deeply personal message to her daughter, Gracie, that went way beyond just their inner circle.

While people were out sharing cute egg hunt pics and spring selfies, the “boss of the boss” – wife of Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt – took to Instagram to post something real and raw. Her message to her daughter Gracie Hunt, who wasn’t home for the holiday. “He is risen! The stone was rolled away, and so was our shame. On Easter morning, the grave lost its grip and hope took its place. Easter is the reminder that death does not have the final word. Because of the empty tomb, we have eternal hope, unshakable joy, and a Savior who conquered sin so we could live in freedom. No matter how dark the valley, resurrection is always possible through Him. Hope lives. Love wins. Jesus reigns. Missing you @graciehunt 🩵 Happy Easter!” Talk about a powerful mix of faith and mom love.

The three words, “He is Risen!” drive home Tavia’s faith along with the last line, “Hope lives. Love wins. Jesus reigns.”. The first picture in the post carousel features the whole Hunt fam: Gracie, Tavia, Clark, Knobel, and Ava. For the Hunt family, faith isn’t just something they keep behind closed doors. They’ve always been open about it. Not too long ago, Tavia shared a tearful goodbye when her youngest, Ava, headed off to college, “I’m excited for the lessons you will learn about God’s faithfulness in the coming months – Everything that you do from here on out is for you—for your success, happiness, and God’s glory.”

And Gracie? She’s been just as open about her spiritual side, especially after the Chiefs’ Super Bowl run at the Super Bowl LVIII. “For #NKH Blessed by the best—thank you Jesus!” It’s that mix of public life and personal heart that makes fans feel connected—not just to the team, but to the family behind it. Gracie has also spoken about what drives her in her life recently, “The things that have been really important to me my whole life have been faith, family, football and philanthropy – Because I’ve always been raised with the mantra that, ‘To whom much is given, much is expected.’”

While Tavia was posting a heartfelt message for her daughter on Easter, Gracie was making waves of her own. On April 18th, she showed up at a Kansas City Currents match at the CPKC Stadium. And yes, the spotlight followed her. It wasn’t just her presence, though. It was the rumors about her new love life that had people talking.

It’s always Gracie’s glow-up era

After her breakup with real estate guy Cody Keith – ex QB of ECU – fans started buzzing when Gracie Hunt dropped an easter-egg of her own. Earlier this April, she shared a pic on her Instagram Story from Arrowhead Stadium, hugging a mystery man. And then there was that sort of telling caption, “After meeting 7.5 years ago in this place… all along there was some invisible string ” Cue the Taylor Swift fans. That’s straight out of “Invisible String,” and given Gracie’s deep Chiefs roots, the post had everyone speculating. In due time, we will surely get to know more about Gracie’s mystery man. And also, what he means to her – a new love life perhaps?

Gracie, former Miss Kansas USA, showing up at the Currents game wasn’t just about her style or the photo ops. She’s clearly stepping into her own space in Kansas City’s sports and social scene. Sure, she will always have a link to the Chiefs’ legacy. But she’s also building her own brand, navigating public attention, relationships, and family expectations in full view. From the Revolve Festival, to Coachella, all the way to the Currents game. She’s basically living the reality of being young, ambitious, and in the spotlight.

All in all, the Hunts aren’t just about football. They’re shaping Kansas City through charity work, community love, and, of course, faith. Tavia’s Easter post and Gracie’s growing presence in the sports world show a family that’s not afraid to be real. Even when the spotlight gets hot, their faith continues to give them strength. The Hunt family keeps showing us that even in fame and football, it’s the heart stuff that truly hits home.
