Sudden Disruption in ESPN’s NBA Finals Broadcast Prompts Viewer Concern

2 min read

When the NBA finals game 4 falls on a date like Friday the 13th, you know something is bound to go wrong. I mean, of course, we remember the movie now, don’t we? But if you guessed it as — a few of the players getting into fights or some huge no-call from the refs, well, you are wrong, cause it wasn’t just that. The entire game glitched for all online viewers of ESPN on ABC. Yeah, crazy, right?

What’s crazier is that this didn’t just happen once, but rather twice, during the first quarter alone! Guess what screen did we see? An image of a screen showing the words “Friday the 13th”. Coincidence? Well, of course, but funny how things work out with such dates, isn’t it? Let’s keep the fun aside and talk about how frustrating it is for the NBA community worldwide.

I mean, we are rooting here for our fav team, SGA is locked in, Tyrese is locked in, and boom, suddenly we can’t see anything or hear anything. Is this why we paid for premium subscription plans? Just to watch such glitches? Surely not, and the NBA community did not waste any time to show that anger on Twitter. “What the heck did we just see? Someone hacked the signal? NBA FINALS,” said one frustrated fan.
