Stunned By Scottie Scheffler, Jon Rahm Sends 11-Word Strong Message to World No. 1 Ahead of 89th Masters

LIV Golf has been the Jon Rahm show since 2024! The Spaniard has absolutely dominated the Saudi-based league, finishing at the pinnacle of the individual standings in his very first season. He has also picked up pace in 2025, as he sits in the top three despite not winning a single LIV Golf event so far. Rahm is undoubtedly one of the most prolific golfers in the world, and he has proven that with his incredible consistency. But where does he stand against the world No. 1, Scottie Scheffler?

Live from the Interview Room at Augusta National, Rahm was asked, “As somebody like yourself who’s made a run up the rankings to the top, what is your appreciation for what Scottie has been doing and his sustainability and staying power?” by one of the reporters. And he didn’t hesitate to respond at all.

The Spanish swinger immediately replied, “It’s always a debate, right, is it harder to get there or stay there, and staying there is a lot harder than getting there, I would say. What we’ve seen Scottie do over the last three, four years is quite impressive. His ball-striking level is outstanding.” There is no question that Rahm admires Scheffler. He also said, “Anytime you have a year where you’re being compared to Tiger in his prime, I don’t think I need to add anything else to that. Winning nine times, winning majors, winning FedExCups and just all-out being the best throughout the season is quite incredible.” Scheffler’s achievements are truly outstanding, and Rahm is not afraid to acknowledge them.

In a tweet following his statement, Paolo Uggetti mentioned how the Legion XIII pro also mentioned, “Hopefully we have a solution and we can see each other more than just at the majors.” Rahm seems to be eager to compete with the best in the world at regular intervals. That’s a sign of a champion if there was any. Hopefully, the PIF-PGA Tour merger gets completed soon, and fans will be able to see these two world beaters compete with each other regularly again.

This is a developing story…
