Steve Kerr Punished for Heated Outburst as NBA Refs Ignore Multiple Tough Violations in Dallas Mavericks

2 min read

The ongoing season has seen Steve Kerr become one of the most vocal critics of the NBA’s officiating. He had famously berated the referees’ calls during a Warriors-Houston Rockets matchup back in December by stating, “This is a $1 billion industry. You got’s people’s jobs on the line.” Since then, the team’s situation has only worsened, with each win/loss making the difference between their playoff chances. Therefore, as the situation for the Bay Area franchise deteriorated during the recent game against the Dallas Mavericks, the head coach was unable to keep his cool.

The matchup at the American Airlines Center became a bit more interesting after onlookers captured Steve Kerr arguing with a referee, Gucci Mane, in the middle of the court. The head coach seemed visibly upset, not willing to accept any explanation that was being given to him. After he shouted at Mane, the referee walked away and punished Kerr with a technical!

Even Draymond Green had to assist in pulling back the head coach after his anger seemed to be getting the better of him. Yes, Draymond Green. The same guy whose on-court antics have made him notorious. Imagine that!

Kerr reportedly lost his cool after some questionable foul decisions were made, from the referee crew, following a four-play sequence in the 3rd quarter.

This is a developing story.
