We are used to seeing the Warriors’ Stephen Curry make shots that no other human in history could make. That’s just what we’ve come to expect from whom Stephen A. Smith calls, “the greatest shooter that God has ever created.” But recently, he did something that defies logic, science, and everything in between. And this recent physics-defying trick shot has earned him yet another celebrity admirer.
Steph was practically in the tunnel on the other side of the court. Then he was challenged by a fan to make a trick shot. But he couldn’t pass up the opportunity so he tried his hand at making a basket from an insane distance. When the ball left his hand it seemed way off.
But we know Steph, he just doesn’t miss. The ball swerved in the air across the length of the court and somehow found its way to the basket. One person who wasn’t shocked by this was Zoolander star, Ben Stiller. “He is capable of doing things no one else can,” he wrote on X, reposting the video of Curry’s viral trick shot. Though Stiller didn’t seem shocked by this, like the rest of us he was still amazed by what Steph did.

However, Curry himself could not bring himself to believe what he’d just done. He thought the ball had fallen short, hitting the net. Dalton Johnson, a Dubs insider did his best to convince Curry that the shot went in. But there were others online commenting that the video was a product of AI.
So Johnson reposted a different angle of the insane trick shot, This one caught the reactions of himself, former Dubs player Festus Ezeli, and Bay Area reporter Kerith Burke. And this new angle will have put to rest any claims that Steph didn’t make the shot.
At this point, Steph’s feats are getting ridiculous. There’s virtually nothing he can’t do with a basketball in his hand. And Ben Stiller agrees completely. Moreover, with Stiller, Stephen Curry’s list of Hollywood admirers keeps growing. After all, this isn’t the first time the Bay Area legend’s first run-in with an A-lister.

You all know Adam Sandler, right? He has always been very transparent about his love for the game. His 2021, film, Hustle, was a love letter to the game of basketball. And he and his baggy fits are a constant presence at pickup games in New York. The man lives and breathes basketball.
And this year at the Oscars, Adam Sandler showed up in his usual, oversized fit, on a night when every celebrity in Hollywood is all glammed up. But basketball fans immediately noticed that something was different about the “Grown Ups” star. And that detail was his sneakers. Adam wasn’t wearing just any shoes, he was wearing a pair of Under Armour Curry 11s in the “championship mindset” colorway.

And yes, Stephen Curry took notice of this. In fact, he approved of Adam’s choice of footwear. He hopped onto his Instagram story to respond with two words. “@adamsandler great choice,” he wrote. It was a great, albeit unexpected interaction between two stars in different fields.
And this latest Ben Stiller endorsement just goes to show the incredible impact Steph Curry has even outside of the basketball world. There’s truly no one like him. And we’ll all rue the day Steph hangs up his iconic Under Armour kicks and rides off into the sunset. But who knows? Maybe a career in Hollywood awaits the legendary shooter!
