Simone Biles’ niece, Ronni Biles, arguably surpassed the Olympian with her trendy activities during the 2024 Paris Olympics. We’re talking about the little Biles twinning with her aunt’s uniform. Needless to say, Biles’ family has always stood in support of the queen of flips during her performances. But with her out of action at the 2025 Xfinity Gymnastics Championships, who did little Ronni Biles and her family support? It was none other than the bronze medalist, Joscelyn Roberson.
Simone Biles’ sister-in-law, Sammi Biles, took to Instagram and shared a series of Stories featuring, of course, Ronni. The little gymnastics enthusiast performed on a makeshift floor, as Roberson impressed the crowd in New Orleans with her performance on the floor in the 4th rotation. And as she ended the event with a score of 109.600, Sammi Biles sent a heartfelt message.
In the caption of the first Story, she wrote, “congratulations jos! I think you have a mini shadow .”
The second IG Story consisted of Biles’ niece pretending to apply chalk on her hands, as Joscelyn Roberson garnered all the attention on the beam. And when Sammi Biles playfully announced her name, the toddler got ready and ran through the padded mat and ended her performance with her hands held high in salute, in front of a mirror. The run-down repeat, but when Ronni tried to spin around and mimic Roberson, she lost her balance. And her mother wrote, “the drama maybe she won’t be a gymnast afterall but an actress?”
In the very next Story, Sammi defended herself and claimed, “(before the internet police come after me..our mirror is very much anchored to our wall ).” Meanwhile, as the toddler’s energy kept rising, the next Story showed another side.
She was playing with a doll on the floor in the photograph. And the caption read, “when you have us championships @usagym but also got to take care of your baby too .”
Needless to say, managing little Ronni Biles seemed like a tough job. As she pretended to check the scores on a toy computer, Sammi wrote, “US championships is a hard days work .” But despite the work, it was nothing short of a heartwarming moment for the Biles family. And with them, Joscelyn Roberson must have felt the warmth, too.

During a recent conversation with Gymnastics Now, Roberson weighed in on their interaction at the ESPYs. “I mean, she’s the busiest human ever. She was at the ESPYs three days ago, and she called me, and she was like, ‘Okay, I have this, this, and this, but if you really want me there, I’ll be there. And I was like, ‘I kind of really want you there.’ And she was like, ‘Okay, so it’s done.’” She continued, “And so she came, and she has to leave, like, tomorrow, and she’s just the best person and the biggest role model and support person that I could have.”
No doubt, with the kind of agility and flexibility Biles possesses, she takes control of all the attention from the fans. But with Biles’ absence from recent active competitions, Roberson seemingly got a bit more nervous than usual.
She confessed, “A lot of the times before these meets, I would get nervous and I’d be like, ‘Oh, they’re not watching you, they’re watching Simone. Just chill out.’ But now, knowing that they were watching me, that made me extremely nervous, and I had to remind myself, this is what you worked your whole life for.”
Nevertheless, Roberson managed to put herself in the spotlight and win the bronze at the 2025 Xfinity Championships. And that garnered special attention from Ronni Biles. No doubt, that seems like the biggest achievement for Roberson.
