“My dad is the cutest, happy 75th,” wrote Simone Biles over a picture of her grandfather, Ronald Biles, on his 75th birthday (August 8th). The catch? This was the second time she had wished him in the same month. Once on his actual birthday, and the second time on August 24th. Needless to say, Simone has never shied away from showing the world just how much her grandfather. So, when it’s Father’s Day, how could Simone have forgotten to wish him?
On June 15, 2025, Simone Biles took to her Instagram story to wish her grandfather a happy Father’s Day. Taking to her Instagram stories, she started with a picture of him holding her and her younger sister, Adria Biles, in his arms, “happy fathers day,” she wrote. The two of them were adopted by Ronald and Nellie Biles (maternal grandparents) on November 7, 2003, when Simone was six and Adria was four. Next, she posted a picture of Ronald wearing a white shirt that read on its back, “I loved her first. 3.14.1997”
3.14.1997, if you are not aware, is Simone Biles’ birthday. Her wishes just did not end here. She uploaded a third story where Ronald had donned a dark green suit and, holding his arm around the elbow, is our gymnastics star herself, a white bouquet in one hand, dressed in a white gown. After their legal courthouse marriage on April 22, 2023, Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens celebrated with a larger, more formal ceremony on May 6, 2023, at the Nobu resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Ronald walked her down the aisle in this celebration.
