Arguably the most decorated gymnast in history, she has taken a step back in 2025, skipping both the World Championships and the Xfinity Championship. Instead, Biles has been savoring life beyond the mat, sharing romantic getaways with Jonathan Owens and now jetting off once again, this time to the Southwest across the Pacific Ocean.
Every queen deserves a crown on her head and a year-long vacation where she can truly relax, and Simone Biles is doing exactly that. Continuin her island hopping after being in Belize earlier, she made her way to the beautiful Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands, on a girls’ trip with her friends. “God forbid a girl uses her passport,” the 28-year-old had written under images of her enjoying the scenery. And well, she is making full use of it. She is once again in a venturing mood, as her recent social media stories show her making her way to another country.
Taking to her social media, Simone Biles uploaded several stories indicating that the star is on a vacation trip to Sydney, Australia. After accompanying her husband during his first and second preseason games, the gymnast is back in trip mode, this time with her girlfriends as well. In addition, she also drew attention to her nail accessories, sporting silver rings on her hand and nails painted in a timeless white-and-red polka dot design.

Well, the gymnast has plenty of reasons to celebrate after securing the Best Athlete in Women’s Sports and Best Championship honors at the 2025 ESPYs. During her acceptance speech, she expressed deep gratitude to the community whose support, she said, shaped her journey into becoming the athlete she is today.
“The recognition means more than you guys know,” she said in her acceptance speech. “I would like to thank the people who have stood with me on this journey — my teammates, my competitors, my coaches, family, and fans who have lifted me up every step of the way. I wouldn’t be standing here without all of you.”
So, she understands the importance of support, and Owens, who once commented on her girls’ trip picture, “Sheesh baby i need you home asap!!!” can rest assured that he’ll be seeing plenty of it as the Bears prepare to open the season on September 8, 2025. Just a few days ago, the two had shared a heartfelt moment on the field, as Biles posted an Instagram story sitting with Owens, helping him cool down with a small battery-operated fan. “This guy makes me feel like the prettiest girl in the world, He makes me feel extremely loved and adored and like I’m the only girl in the world,” she added in a voiceover.

While having a conversation with The Olympics Podcast on August 7, 2025, Simone Biles admitted that her ADHD often pushes her to stay occupied, even when she’s supposed to be unwinding on vacation. When asked what’s keeping her busy these days, the gymnastics icon lit up with a spark of enthusiasm, saying, “I’m working very closely with Friends of the Children, Make a Wish Foundation, Athleta… We’re always trying to up our game. So, that’s super exciting.”
She further added, “We’re trying to enter the fashion industry and beauty industry. Some of the things I can’t talk about, but they are in the works, and it’s gonna be really exciting. But yeah. There’s always a project to be made, even if that’s just like the post-Olympic tour, or trying to have involvement in the 2028 Olympics. So yeah, that’s kind of like what’s on the horizon.”
Well, it all lines up with her previous worries about the fashion and beauty standards of the game. Back in 2022, she acknowledged the growing competition that had nothing to do with the gymnasts’ on-stage performance but was instead aligned with beauty. Yeah, she is about to change that with her new venture, but when will she launch it? Time will tell.
