Shohei Ohtani or Aaron Judge? MLB’s Top Jersey Seller Revealed as Dodgers Dominate List

3 min read

Shohei Ohtani and Aaron Judge aren’t just trying to get votes for MVP. They’re also trying to get fans to make space in their closets. As the All-Star spotlight approaches, midseason jersey sales are on the rise. So, who’s topping the list?

Do you know, since 2023, Ohtani’s jerseys have sold more than anybody else’s in the US, Japan, and worldwide? But is he holding the first place this year, too, or has Aaron Judge outshone Ohtani?

Well, Shohei Ohtani jersey no. 17 continues to dominate the number this year as well, per the sales data released by Fanatics, while Aaron Judge’s jersey no. 99 is in second. However, the two-way sensation is not the only Dodger star on that list. The Dodgers are on a roll. Not just one or two, but apart from Ohtani, there are three more Dodgers players whose jerseys have been the fan favorites.

Behind Aaron Judge, it’s Freddie Freeman at No. 3 and Mookie Betts at No. 4. And last but not least, Clayton Kershaw’s at No. 20. Well, safe to say the boys in blue are dominating both on and off the field!

The 2025 All-Stars dominate the list of most popular jerseys, claiming 13 of the top 20 spots. Alongside stars like Ohtani, Judge, Freeman, and Francisco Lindor, who is at no. 5, the list features Rafael Devers, Fernando Tatis Jr, and Ronald Acuña Jr as well. Devers broke into the top 20 for the first time, boosted by sales of both his Red Sox and Giants jerseys.

Talking about the on-field numbers, both Shohei Ohtani and Aaron Judge are having a season to remember. The duo has been hitting homers at almost the same rate. While Ohtani leads the NL with 32 home runs, Judge is second in the AL with 34. Their power surge is neck-and-neck. No wonder they had an intense competition in phase 1 of All-Star voting, too. However, over there, #99 stole the top spot.

Fan favorite rivalry: Judge climbs ahead of Ohtani in phase 1 of All-Star voting

Aaron Judge outshone Ohtani in phase 1 of All-Star voting. Judge got the most votes of any player, with his tally being an incredible 4,012,983. Ohtani, however, wasn’t far behind, as he got 3,967,668 votes. And since they got so many votes in phase 1, both Judge and Ohtani became the automatic starters in their respective leagues.

Aaron Judge is in the right field for the American League, while Shohei Ohtani is the DH for the National League.

The All-Star Game is scheduled for July 15 in Atlanta. Two of baseball’s most exciting stars—one a huge slugger and the other a two-way star—will share the spotlight. The Midsummer Classic will add a new twist to their battle for popularity

Fans are focused on this duel as the rosters fill up and reserves are named. Judge’s lead in voting shows how popular he is, but Ohtani, with his international touch, is just as magnetic. Their battle in Atlanta won’t be only about home runs and hits. It’ll also be about who gets the most spotlight.

Are you excited to watch them go? Well, before you make your way to Truist Park, which jersey would you want to buy? No.99 or No.17?
