Shaquille O’Neal‘s ex-wife, Shaunie, always has creative ways to spend time with her family. She lives in Houston with her husband, Pastor Keion Henderson. However, she ensures to take out time for her kids, sister, and her family. Often when she does, the Basketball Wives star comes up with unique ways to bond. Just back in December, she made a strict no-food rule for her kids unless they completed one task, only to have some fun. As Shaunie got back with her sister and niece, she was at it again.

And this time again with sweet treats. The mother of five might have had this famed Chicago spot in her mind for quite some time! She even admitted to it in her latest IG post. As soon as she got to the Windy City, 1000 miles away from her home, Shaunie knew that she had to visit the store. After sending a prior DM to the owners, Shaunie reached their outlet and was warmly greeted by the owner and his wife.

“If you are ever in Chicago, make sure you stop by @pookiecrackcakes so good, that caramel drip is something serious! Shaunie captioned the post. The owner’s wife was surprised by Shaunie visiting their Pookie Crack Cakes. After a quick conversation, greeting, Shaunie tasted one of their cakes in-store and left with many more flavored cakes for her sister and niece.

She shared another clip where the four took turns tasting the cakes one after another to review them. “How about I had no idea my family would be in Chicago at the same time we were there! This made my trip EXTRA SPECIAL! My sister Cori (no ig), my niece Zari and Keyonna who fits in all categories of family I decided to do our @pookiecrackcake review with them. Clearly nothing falls below a 7… ITS SO GOOD!!! ” she wrote.

Apart from the chocolate flavor, which they did not like much, the ladies raved about all the other flavors. The mother is also the biggest supporter of her kids.

Shaunie Henderson shows love for daughter Me’Arah

Shaunie often takes to social media to show that she is rooting for her kids. Just recently, her youngest, Me’Arah, who just ended her freshman year with the Florida Gators, shared a special IG post.

It was to celebrate her first year and featured several highlights of her games at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center. This also included many snaps of Me’Arah with her friends. She started 8 of her 35 games for the Gators. “Blessed,” Me’Arah captioned the post. Shaunie was quick to show love for her by dropping some heart emojis in the comments section. Shaunie has always supported her kids in following their dreams.

When the kids returned home for Christmas last year, they all had to take up their mother’s challenge. She gave a clear ultimatum to her kids, saying that they need to make candy to get food. “She said if we don’t make the candy, we can’t eat,Myles shared in the clip.

Throughout her various activities and social media interactions, Shaunie Henderson consistently demonstrates her role as a central pillar of support for her children and her sister. Whether it’s cheering on Me’Arah’s athletic pursuits or embarking on a spontaneous Chicago adventure for sweet treats with her sister and niece, Shaunie’s actions underscore her deep commitment to nurturing these familial bonds and creating shared moments of joy and connection.

The kids heeded. Her eldest later shared a snap of the custom candy that he made, assuring that he and his siblings got food that night. The family surely loves sweet treats, and it’s always through these delectables that Shaunie finds new ways to reconnect with her family and have a good time too.
