Shaquille O’Neal’s Concern Over Meeting Mom Lucille Pushes Him to Ask Help From Stranger

If you ever make it big time, make sure you help those in need.” These were the words from stepfather Phillip Harrison, a career Army sergeant. Shaquille O’Neal has evidently made it clear by his generous display of giving away money that he is living by that motto. From tipping $4000 to a waitress to buying bikes, scooters, and even laptops for strangers. Despite the Big Aristotle’s presence, he would do all this quietly. His recent generous display is once again viral thanks to a social media post, as he had to stop before meeting his mother, Lucille O’Neal.

A Facebook post from a few hours ago adds that Shaq was on his way to spend time with his Mother, and that’s when a fan caught him. They had their small talk, and that’s when the Lakers legend asked for a small help—to fix his shirt and tie. The girl obliged, and that’s when O’Neal “reached into his pocket and gave her $100.The girl’s father shared the post in which he admitted, the NBA icon is always this kind talking to people. This was caught when a YouTuber met Shaq unexpectedly.

A 23-year-old creator was up and about with his video creation, and that’s when he unexpectedly met Shaquille O’Neal. The young fan who has over 480k subscribers met Bryce James in a Target store, and that video was viral with over 1 million views. The content in it was questionable, as the content creator flashed gang signs and urged LeBron’s son to do it as well. Naturally, Bryce declined, “We ain’t doing none of that,” he calmly replied. This time, there were no signs involved, but he walked away with plenty of cash.

After meeting the fan, Shaquille O’Neal walked towards his car and unknowingly dropped some cash. That’s when the young fan exclaimed, “Oh, you just dropped money, you just dropped money, bro.” The 4x NBA champion appreciated the gesture and made a bigger one in return. He gave the YouTuber and his friend behind the camera some cash as a token of appreciation. “I appreciate your honesty, bro,” O’Neal explained. But that’s not the only generous display.

Another time when Shaquille O’Neal kept his promise from 8 years ago

Making $100 for making a slight adjustment to Shaq’s attire is a great deal. But that’s not the only offer he made to his fans. As per the Alachua Chronicle, this all began in 2016, when Gainesville Police Department Officer Bobby White received a complaint about kids. The complaints were that kids were playing basketball “loudly”. But White did not stop them from hooping; instead joined in for minutes before responding to another call.

When Shaquille O’Neal met those young hoopers in Gainesville in 2016, all he asked from them was to listen to their parents and do good in school. So, they did. Keeping his promise, the Lakers legend surprised them and informed them that his gift was buying each of them a new Audi A3! Yes, Shaq has pledged to gift $38,200 to each of the three individuals.

So, keeping Sgt. Harrison’s words close to his chest, Shaq continues to walk in his footsteps. Whether it’s a supermarket, a basketball court, or anyplace else, he wouldn’t hesitate to help people out. Even if it means taking some time out before meeting his mother.
