He burst into the spotlight during his final season as a CFB player and became one of the best quarterbacks to be considered in the 2025 NFL draft. However, his prospects kept slipping with time. He’s rumored to go to multiple places at various points in the draft. A key reason behind that ambiguity is the way some experts have let loose on their criticism of the young QB. The guy needs some chiseling, sure. But does that warrant this much doubt about his flaws?
Mom Pilar is taking a firm stand against those critics. She shared a promotional video of Gatorade featuring Shedeur Sanders throwing some target balls. He talks about “losing” a lot of things. “But lose the target I have on my back? Nah.” Pilar outright declared in the caption, “The Nation’s No. 1 QB – UNDENIABLE, UNMATCHED, UNSTOPPABLE!” She also wrote, “From coast to coast, across every division, no quarterback has demonstrated the combination of ELITE FOOTBALL INTELLIGENCE, SURGICAL ACCURACY, and UNSHAKABLE POISE under the unthinkable amount of pressure like my son Shedeur and we all know it and have witnessed it.” For Pilar, there’s no better QB in the draft than Shedeur.
And the high praise keeps coming. She wrote that Shedeur “[feeds] a storm-forged calm that delivers with vein lined voltage and cold-blooded clarity.” “This makes the weak unconsciously uncomfortable,” Pilar added boldly. “It’s about a quarterback who elevates every program he touches, turning challenges into triumphs and skeptics into believers.” However, thw believers has not yet managed enough to silence the skeptics. Doubts about Shedeur’s future continue to prevail even now.
Lastly, Pilar wrote, “To overlook his prowess is to ignore the very essence of excellence. He doesn’t just play the game; he redefines it! @shedeursanders is not just a top prospect—HE IS THEE #1 QUARTERBACK IN THE COUNTRY. PERIODT! Selah.” After all, in a mother’s eyes, no one’s better than her children. It can help so much when the negative comments from others continue to come the QB’s way.
NFL coach rips into Shedeur Sanders’ character
Experts still kept a hold on themselves when giving their reviews on Shedeur’s flaws. However, one particular assistant coach took a lot of liberty. He told NFL.com’s Tom Pelissero that Sanders was “[the] worst formal interview” he’d ever been to in his life. The coach, whose identity was not revealed, had more attacks lined up. “He’s so entitled. He takes unnecessary sacks. He never plays on time. He has horrible body language. He blames teammates.” That’s a big ouch for Sanders, whose critics have mostly focused on his game.
“But the biggest thing is, he’s not that good.” More comments about Sanders in Pelissaro’s article indicate that Jaxson Dart is regarded as a better option. Another NFL executive implied that Sanders was pushy without reason. “He wants to dictate what he’s going to do and what’s best for him. He makes you feel small.” With this article coming out just hours before the draft, who knows how much farther he’s going to slip?
Sanders was looking to go to the Steelers, Browns, Saints, and even the Giants. When it comes to Pitt and New York, Jalen Milroe can give him a strong fight. Regarding the Browns or Saints, we wonder where he failed so miserably. There’s no way that that particular team will look to draft him.
Shedeur Sanders remains one of the biggest mysteries of the draft. Yes, the man has flaws in his game, but Mom Pilar thinks he’s destined for the best in the game.
