“I have to believe in myself. I know what I can do, what I can achieve.” The quote from Sergio Garcia has been the key behind his exceptional performance since 1999 when he turned pro. The Spanish professional has bagged 36 professional wins, including the 2008 Players Championship and the 2017 Masters.

But apart from his skills, there is something that sets the golfer apart, it is his zeal to keep experimenting. The golfer, especially with his clubs, has experimented a lot in his career. Even with his great start to the 2025 schedule, where he recorded T6 in Riyadh and T18 in Adelaide. The 45-year-old has made a new update in his bag. Let’s check the new addition to his bag for the LIV Golf Hong Kong event.

Sergio Garcia’s picks for the longer distances

The Spaniard has been making long distances shorter with his great driving accuracy. Sergio Garcia has achieved a 296.3 yards driving distance average. All thanks to his Titleist GT3 driver. Garcia has adjusted it to 9 degrees, accompanied by a Fujikura Ventus Black 6-X shaft. With his skills, the add-on distance coverage and spin of the driver makes covering long distances easier. Despite the endless changes in the bag, the $649 driver has been his preference for a while now.

Away from his driver, he also has fairway woods in his bag to cover the long distance. Garcia carries TaylorMade BRNR Copper mini-driver and Qi10 Tour 5-wood fairway. His mini-driver has 13.5 degrees loft and a Fujikura Ventus Black 7-X shaft, while the Qi10 has 18 degrees loft and a Fujikura Ventus Black 8-X shaft. Both drivers offers great reliability to stay on the fairway with forgiveness and distance control. At $449 and $339 respectively, it becomes a great option to rely on.

Next up in his bag comes the area where he excels. Pure ball-striking with irons. To make it even better, he carries ` The five-time forged iron offering great ball-striking experience makes it the ideal option for him. Well, the set of irons costing $1400 can be customized as well. Even the golfer has utilized it with custom ‘Sergio’ SuperStroke grips. After the long distance coverage, the golfer then comes to the more finesse options of his bag to keep the score rolling.

Garcia’s preference for the greens

Sergio Garcia has been a partner of TaylorMade and Callaway in the past, which showcases a mix of brands in his bag. After his driver, wedges are also from Titleist as he carries Vokey SM10 and SM9 WedgeWorks. Even though the SM10 has a 54-degree loft, he bends it to 52 degrees, making it ideal for his preference. Coming at $189, the wedge offers a great feel with enhanced grooves for maximizing spin. Additionally, providing better control and flight to set the ball for the final putt.

For his last pick, he has gotten back to his 7-year-old preference from the Masters. With his current lead at the Hong Kong event, he was asked, “What’s been the difference?” For which the golfer has shared his new addition to 2025, but his very old putter. He brought his TaylorMade Spider Tour putter back. The Spider X shape, $349 putter offers enhanced performance while giving out the benefits of mallet design. The great impact of the change can be seen with in his two rounds of 65-64 at LIV Golf Hong Konghelping which helped with a strong finish at T1.

With the constant changes in the bag, the golfer, unlike others who struggle, has been on a great upward climb. But will his tied lead turn out to be a solo lead after the third round? It will be interesting to find out. Share your thoughts on Garcia’s performance in the comments below.
