Sean Payton’s Outcast Von Miller Clears Air on Broncos Return With a Strong Message on Bills’ Josh Allen

Von Miller and Golf? That’s probably one thing you might have heard in the past few years, ever since the inception of the NFLPA Classic. But here’s the fun part—he wasn’t just out there swinging clubs for the vibes. He teed off at Mayakoba with a bunch of his old Broncos buddies, and let’s just say, it felt like a mini Denver reunion on the fairway. Now, that’s where things took an interesting turn for Miller.

On Tuesday, Miller appeared on the Up & Adams Show, where he talked about the latest season of NFLPA Classic at El Camaleon Golf Course at Mayakoba in Mexico with his Broncos guys. When Adams asked, “Would you like to be a part of actual Broncos? I mean, this color has always looked good on you,” the guy straight-up admitted that it’s a fun time for him and his career right now with the Buffalo Bills.

“You just had to see, you know, it’s a fun time right now for me and my career,” Miller said. “And, you know, you just had to wait and see, you know, taking one day at a time, and it’s all fun, and just wait and see.” Now, let’s be real—the guy spent over a decade with the Broncos before joining the Bills.

Drafted second overall back in the 2011 NFL draft, the guy became a defensive powerhouse, racking up 110.5 sacks over 11 seasons. His standout moment? Yeah, the Super Bowl L. The LB was all over the place, racking up six tackles, batting down a pass, and piling up 2.5 sacks. Oh, and he also forced two fumbles and kept the QB sweating in a couple of hurries.

No wonder his performance was regarded as the best individual defensive performance in Super Bowl history. After all, the guy won the Super Bowl MVP with the Broncos.

Fast forward and Von Miller has switched his jersey for the Bills, and let’s just say the guy’s in the fun phase of his career, considering his future is currently hanging in the air. When Adams asked, “What is fun about it?” Miller admitted the excitement of what’s next comes with a hint of fear. “I think the excitement of not knowing what’s next has a sense of… It could also be scary too, but… I’m not, in my perception, I don’t frame it like that,” he continued. “I’ve done everything I could possibly do. And whatever’s next for me is what’s next. And, you know, it’s fun. It’s exciting.”

Well, Miller is a 35-year-old who is set to enter his 16th season in 2025. So now doubt his future in the NFL could be pretty exciting as well as scary. After 11 seasons with the Broncos, flipping to a new team with a whole different QB isn’t exactly a breeze. And yeah, Miller knows that all too well.

Von Miller finds it fun to play with a new QB

Von Miller’s time with the Bills? Yeah, not exactly a fairy tale. After starting every season he played in Denver and a quick Super Bowl run with the Rams, he inked a six-year, $120 million deal. But let’s be real—year one ended with a knee injury, and after that? Injuries and off-field drama turned him into a backup LB.

The guy appeared in 36 regular-season games for the Bills and started in just 11, having recorded 41 tackles and 7 sacks. Fast forward, and Miller is all set to enter his 16th season and his future is still uncertain. No wonder the LB confessed the excitement of not knowing what’s next with a hint of fear. But if there’s anything that he finds fun in, it’s playing in a new team with a new quarterback, Josh Allen. And stick with us, because Miller believes that no one could do what Allen did in the last season.

“You know, you’re looking at new teams and, you know, new, you know, quarterbacks. You can never replace a Josh Allen and the season that he had. New quarterbacks, new environments, and just a new place to be is fun,” he concludedAnd can you blame him? The Bills QB just recorded one of the best seasons of his career.

Amassing over 3,500 yards and racking up 28 touchdowns, the guy snagged his first MVP in the last season. No wonder Von Miller believes that you just can’t replace Josh Allen. I mean, sure, that playoff meltdown against the Chiefs still stings, but let’s not act like he wasn’t out there torching defenses every week. So yeah, Miller’s got a point—you don’t just swap out a guy like Allen.
