On March 1st the team faced off against Lakeland Christian at Spec Martin Stadium at the state championship match. Although they were trailing 1-0 at halftime trailing 1-0 at halftime. However, things changed in the second half, thanks to Sam’s leadership and the team’s unwavering defense they held off Lakeland Christian and ultimately won by a 2-1 win,
Interestingly, Woods was in attendance for the match and witnessed his daughter’s victory live. After that Woods announced his surgery and is now carefully recovering at home.
