On March 13, 2025, this Razorback posted a shot of herself from her beam routine to her Instagram post, captioning it, “Last time ever in bud tomorrow @6:45pm.” The very next day marked the senior night for Arkansas gymnastics against the Missouri Tigers. The team lost the meet with a score of 197.800-197.225, but what would have hurt even more were the goodbyes. What also opens up after the senior night, once the NCAA season gets over, is the question of the future of these collegiate gymnasts. What is next for them? This Razorback gymnast just announced hers.
“Sadly, it’s finally that time to make this post For 18 years, gymnastics has always been in my life. It was literally my second home growing up. It has taught me so much life lessons that I am so grateful for,” Kalyxta Gamiao’s Instagram post read, as the Razorback announced her farewell from the sport. She began her gymnastics journey at a young age, training with the Hawaiian Island Twisters in Honolulu. Her competitive record dates back to at least 2013, with her earliest competition being the San Diego Classic 2013 Nastia Qualifier.
