Ryan Garcia Instantly Regrets Batmobile Walkout Against Rolly Romero at Times Square

2 min read

Ryan Garcia is no stranger to extravagant pre-fight antics, but leading up to tonight’s bout, the Victorville native appeared unusually composed—until he made a jaw-dropping entrance in the iconic Batmobile, stunning fans and media alike in Times Square. While the move had all the flair expected from ‘King Ry,’ it seems to have backfired in more ways than one.

Following Devin Haney’s painfully dull win over Jose Ramirez, Garcia left behind the Batmobile in the congested heart of Manhattan and entered the ring to face Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero. But in a shocking twist, it was Romero who flipped the script with a vicious second-round knockdown that rattled Garcia and the fight’s momentum.

Worse yet for Garcia, early scorecards suggest Romero is not only holding his own but might actually be pulling ahead with a performance few saw coming. His aggression and ring control have visibly slowed Garcia down, putting the outcome in serious doubt.

If Romero does pull off the upset, it could pour cold water on the highly anticipated Garcia vs. Haney clash reportedly being lined up for later this year, casting uncertainty over one of boxing’s most hyped rivalries. To make matters worse, fans seem to be poking fun at Garcia’s Batmobile stunt before the fight on social media, as the fight itself upfolds.

One user wrote, “He robbin thoe is what he’s stating.”

Another wrote, “Why is he in Robbin’s seat tho .”

Someone else commented, “Then got knocked tf out in round 2”

The next user wrote, “all dis to get knocked out btw.”

Another commented, “batman aint get put on his pockets .”
