“Without the Ostarine, you don’t even sound the same,” Devin Haney jabbed, igniting the room as Ryan Garcia called him out during the Ring Magazine: RYAN GARCIA VS. ROLLY ROMERO pre-fight press conference. With both rivals set to fight on the same card, tension was inevitable—and it showed. Haney’s sharp remark, a not-so-subtle reference to Garcia’s past PED controversy, quickly sent shockwaves through the boxing world. Garcia, now stepping up to welterweight to face Rolly Romero for the WBA title, found himself catching heat once again. And judging by his reaction, he’s not enjoying the smoke.
Does Ryan Garcia sound different? ‘BoxingNerd101’s X handle shared two videos, clearly showing a change in Garcia’s voice, which led fans to speculate that ‘King Ryan’ might not be ready to handle the heat. Furthermore, another X handle claimed that Garcia is much smaller now as compared to his early days and questioned whether he is ready to embrace the ring against Romero.
This statement by the fan was the breaking point for Garcia, prompting him to take to his X handle to criticize them for making baseless claims that were far from reality, “You guys are stupid — this isn’t me hydrated at all. I see all the stupid takes like, “My voice is lower.” Watch every time I spoke at the time — it always changed because I’d be coming off a night of drinking. Y’all are dumb, for real.”
He further added, “It’s okay — anything to make Devin and his daddy feel better for that beating. I was tested every week during that buildup, so stfu with all that dumb s—.” Garcia and Haney’s rivalry has been one of the boxing world’s most heated sagas. ‘King Ryan’ got his bragging rights with a win last April, but the victory was tainted as he missed weight, and later he tested positive for the banned substance Ostarine.
You guys are stupid this isn’t me hydrated at all, I see all the stupid takes like my voice is lower watch everyone time I spoke at the time it always changed bc I’d be coming of a night of drinking yall are dumb for real.
It’s okay anything to make Devin and his daddy… https://t.co/YQ9lrSRrbC

The result was overturned to a No-Contest, and Garcia was slapped with a one-year suspension and a fine by the New York State Athletic Commission. Well, despite that, ‘King Ryan’ believes he is innocent. With both of them fighting under the same card, a confrontation between them was inevitable. Now, you might be a bit confused about why the boxing community suddenly started calling out Garcia for his voice change. Well, let’s take a look back at what happened during the Ring Magazine: RYAN GARCIA VS. ROLLY ROMERO press conference.
Devin Haney ignites his rivalry with Ryan Garcia once again
The press conference was going smoothly, however, when Garcia was asked about his confrontation with Haney’s father at the open workouts on Tuesday, ‘King Ryan’ got heated as he called out Devin Haney as well as his father, “He was coming at my physique, but it’s all good,” Garcia said. “They were saying the same thing last time and they got their a– whooped last time, too! And you’ll get your a– whooped again!”
Devin Haney chimed in as he called out to Ryan Garcia and reminded him about the Ostarine controversy, “He got off that Ostarine, and he don’t even sound the same! His voice changed back. Your physique changed! You’ve got t—– now! Those muscles gone, your voice is gone. This motherf—- is gone.” Things escalated quickly when Bill Haney interjected, “What the hell happened to Ryan Garcia? This is not the same Ryan Garcia, at all.”
Garcia was surprised by Bill Haney’s statement, as he couldn’t believe they were coming at him despite Devin Haney having lost their fight.“I got multiple personalities, b-tch, I got multiple personalities, b—tch, you don’t wanna see the crazy one,” Garcia responded. “You don’t wanna see the crazy personality, b—tch. You and your son are some b—tches. And you’re the biggest b—tch out of all of them.”
Since both rivals are fighting on the same card, victories for each could set the stage for a potential rematch. Can we anticipate one? Given that, what are your thoughts on their rivalry? State your opinion in the comments below.
