Rory McIlroy is still riding high after his historic Masters win, and he’s been cherishing every moment of it. As he arrived in New Orleans to team up with Shane Lowry for the Zurich Classic, McIlroy reflected on the past week and a half, saying, “It’s been an amazing few days after, and to be able to reflect on it and everything that happened and the magnitude of everything, I think the big thing for me is just how the whole journey sort of resonated with people and the people that have reached out to me.”

McIlroy’s win wasn’t just about him; it was about the people who’ve supported him throughout his career. He made sure to spend quality time with loved ones, including his wife Erica and daughter Poppy, as well as his parents and lifelong coach Michael Bannon.

McIlroy’s recent trip to London to check on their new home being built was a special moment for him and his family. He also made it a point to visit his roots in Belfast, celebrating with those who’ve been part of his journey. “Yeah, just to be with them, to be with Erica and Poppy and my mom and dad and to see Michael Bannon, my lifelong coach, and spend a bit more time with Harry and his wife and just celebrate with the people that have been a part of this whole thing for my entire career, my entire life was absolutely amazing,” McIlroy said at the 2025 Zurich Classic presser.
