Released Jaguars Star’s Strong Message for Liam Coen After GM Announced 4 Roster Decisions

2 min read

The Jacksonville Jaguars made some strong decisions on their roster on Thursday. They released four of their players prior to the NFL’s free agency period opening next week. One of them is their TE Evan Engram, who also shared a message for his team, especially the HC Liam Coen after the exit news.

Taking to his official X account, Evan Engram wrote, “It’s all love Jax. But they just let a mf dog loose! Excited for what’s next! #BeEazy.” This two-time Pro Bowl tight end’s release indeed came as a surprise for all. So, why the decision by Liam Coen and GM James Gladstone?

Well, according to the reports, one major reason could be Engram’s torn labrum in this past campaign. This injury forced him to quit the season after playing in just 9 games, where he recorded 47 catching passes for 365 yards and one touchdown.

Along with him, players like wide receivers Devin Duvernay & Josh Reynolds and cornerback Ronald Darby were also released. So, as per reports, these moves by Liam Coen and James Gladstone can also be an effort to create additional salary cap space for the team to utilize in this 2025 offseason.
