Did she expect to see herself in the French capital, defending her all-around Olympic gold? Perhaps not. After February 2023, Suni was stuck with two major problems. One, her kidney disease, which had no specific answers from the doctors. Another was the mental setback. The continuous failures of the doctors to detect her issue hurled a coup de grace on her mental health. The result? Suni Lee found it hard to pull herself to the gym. She ultimately lost her hope to see herself on the mat again. But in Paris, she claimed three Olympic medals and set a record of winning two consecutive individual medals in the uneven bars event. Suni answered these questions in her recent interview with Women’s Health Magazine. In the interaction, she said, “These days, I’m taking some time for myself, without the pressure of a huge goal, for the first time in my life.
