Rams Make Huge Coaching Announcement as Sean McVay Served With $50M Headache on Matthew Stafford

2 min read

In the NFL, there’s always a risk of losing your coordinators in the blink of an eye. Look at what the Bucs are going through—3 different coordinators in the last 3 seasons. That’s never actually a good thing. Yes, you can’t stop your coordinators from pursuing promotion elsewhere—like you can’t stop a tree from growing. But at the end of the day, it’s your plans that get affected. Finding another coordinator is never an easy task, and you just never know how the newbie will turn out to be. However, those aren’t the headaches Rams head coach Sean McVay has to go through. He can count himself a bit lucky not to lose his coordinators, at least for the next season.

McVay himself is entering his 9th year as the Rams head coach. Time flies, right? Remember those days when McVay used to be the youngest coach in the NFL at 30? Well, he is 39 now. Still not yet old like NFL coaches are expected to be. McVay is coming off another incredible season with the Rams getting double-digit wins and playoffs for the 6th time in his 9 year tenure. However, you know a king can’t defend his castle without his soldiers’ help. Well, the same can be said about McVay. He would have been nowhere last season without his returning offensive coordinator, Mike Lafleur.
