According to McGregor, a group of kids were trying to raise enough cash to copy Pete Crow-Armstrong’s bold spring training hairstyle, bleached hair with blue stars. And when Crow-Armstrong heard about their mission, he decided to support their little Wrigleyville venture. The video shows how the kids were thrilled when he showed up, and instantly asked him to sign a paper towel and snap some photos with them.
In fact, later on, Taylor McGregor reported that one of those fans actually got that hairdo!
Now, social media is flooding with how Crow-Armstrong just became an off-field hero. While the on-field season is going strong for the rookie with 26 HRs and hitting .270, he couldn’t ask for a better outing than this.

There are a few times, once in a blue moon, that a generational talent lands with a team. Similar to what Crow-Armstrong is for the Cubs. And along with the on-field performance, if the guy could be the fans’ blue-eyed boy, then it’s second to none. “The Cubs have a treasure in this guy,” one fan shared the same emotion. A name that brings an electric energy to the team. Someone who plays with passion, swagger, and hustle should be termed a treasure. Someone who became the fastest player in Cubs history to reach 25 home runs and 25 stolen bases in a season surely deserves the tag.
Going by the current pace of PCA, he is surely in the 2025 MVP race. And now, his off-field antics are also making a point. “MVPete is a great guy off the field, too.” PCA is going in the same direction as Aaron Judge and Shohei Ohtani, offering both on and off the field antics. With a .270 batting average, a .306 on-base percentage, and a .556 slugging mark this season, PCA is in the MVP race. Now, fans hope his off-field gestures deserve an MVP-level applause, too.

Tbh, a player can’t have a devoted fan base just by throwing fireballs and hitting towering homers. They need to share a positive relationship with fans, too.
