Pat McAfee’s Wife Flexes Husband’s ‘God’ Status Despite College Football Stance Affecting His Royal Rumble Duties

We went over to Ireland last week, and I had 30 Guinnesses on Friday night [screaming loudly continuously]. I learned about my great grandfather who was a farmer over there, so I said I’m going to be behind the Fighting Irish forever. Then I get to College Station, I see that big-ass American flag, I see Lucas Dollaboy hit a $50,000 field goal, I see ELGO’s big-a-s head, I hear these people (Irish Fans) at 6:00 a.m. in the local costume [removes shirt and starts furiously dancing] dancing on a bunch of shirtless [loud applause thundering continuously from the crowd] ranchers; I say give me Texas A&M.

Pat McAfee screamed these words loudly and almost breathlessly started dancing shirtless on the announcer’s podium, cheering the Notre Dame fans for their game against Texas A&M in August. It was evident to everyone right away why McAfee is the best in the business. His charisma in college football is unmatched and unstoppable. That isn’t only limited to college football but also to the NFL and WWE. And, seemingly so, there’s a message from his wife that defines him in every way and more.

Well, his antics in college football are something that will be remembered by the fans even in their sleep. Be it his memorable LSU vs. South Carolina game in September, when he literally shouted at the LSU fans. “I assumed I was going to pick Brian Kelly’s head so that it wouldn’t blow up in the middle of this game in beautiful South Carolina, but instead, they have actually deemed me mayor of the town seemingly for 24 hours.” Or be it him leading the chants for Georgia in their game against Texas in December. “Who’s that coming down the track? It’s a mean machine in the red and black.” He has that level of energy that can even send power back to the grid. That’s what his level is.

McAfee was recently involved in covering college football, which is why he could not tend to his wrestling duties, and thus, WWE was forced to find a replacement for him. Despite his absence, McAfee made a spectacular entry on WWE’s grandest stage. His Royal Rumble opening will undoubtedly be remembered for a long time. “I know what you’re thinking: ‘Oh, Pat McAfee. He’s an Indy guy, yeah. Super original. I’m sure he’d nail a hot cold open video program, hubbly bubbly, how you doin’, keep it movin’! Well, you know what? You’re damn right.” It was his words from his studio-shot video as the Royal Rumble opened with fireworks and some of the biggest wrestlers on the stage. His wife shared a message from one of his fans and posted it on the story on Instagram.

The fan was seen carrying a placard on the front row of the WWE arena that read, “Pat McAfee is God.” Mind you, the statement is 110% justified because his popularity in WWE is as popular as his fandom in college football. And no doubt he is currently the ‘God’ of electrifying announcing. But why is McAfee so popular in WWE?

Why do WWE fans love Pat McAfee?

Well, his exploits in WWE are also well-documented and well-appreciated. Be it the man himself entering the ring against Austin Theory in Wrestlemania 38. And that is no joke. Not only did he compete like a true wrestler, but he also gave a flying superplex by climbing on top of the side still and throwing Austin on his back as he leaped for help. If that doesn’t satisfy you, then hear this: He is the man who challenged ‘the’ Stone Cold Steve Austin and shared the iconic beer can moment with him.

Of course, theoretically, it didn’t end well for him, as Steve Austin gave him a stunner while he was having his moment. The point is that he is a person who doesn’t back down from challenges. Speaking of challenges, hear this.

Not only has he participated in 3 matches so far in WrestleMania, but he also constantly challenges top WWE wrestlers with his trash talk. Don’t believe it? Well, he practically humiliated the wrestler Dominic Mysterio as he was having his match against Gunther, “You s-ck Dom, don’t you look at me, I’ll smack the hell out of you.” I mean, who amongst normal people will even have the audacity to challenge a professional wrestler? But Pat is not a normal person; he is a god (at least according to his fans). He has certainly achieved ‘God’ status in the commentary arena, and we must hope that he keeps entertained like he always does.
