Paige Bueckers Announces Injury Update After Another Heartbreaking Loss vs Fever

2 min read

All our fingers crossed couldn’t prevent the setback that struck Paige Bueckers. Fans who’ve been hoping Paige Buckets’ WNBA career would be safe from injuries that dogged her for most of her NCAA seasons felt that fear once more. It’s bad enough we don’t get that Caitlin Clark-Paige matchup while the Fever star is recovering from her own muscle strain. Now the injury curse found Paige Bueckers.

She was carrying the Wings against Indiana till she was forced to exit the game earlier than expected. Four minutes left for the third quarter, Aliyah Boston set a screen that had the UConn star tumble to the court. It looked ugly when she was clutching her leg in pain. She had to limp off the court herself after that scare.

After the game, she caught up with media and provided a brief update on her status. “Paige Bueckers says she’s ‘fine’ but admitted it will ‘probably hurt tomorrow’” said a reporter. “Doesn’t seem to be any serious concern, however.”
