The Los Angeles Lakers held a press conference on Saturday to announce that Luka Doncic has agreed to an extension. While the majority of Doncic’s teammates and even JJ Redick were in attendance as Doncic signed a three-year $165 million deal, LeBron James was nowhere to be seen. Of course, this raised a lot of eyebrows, and many speculated that he might be on the move away from Hollywood, but that wasn’t the reason at all.
Instead, there was a special reason as to why James did not attend the presser. What? You might ask. Well, although no one knew at the time, James was busy spending some quality time with his son and Lakers guard, Bronny James, away from Los Angeles. This news emerged after King James posted an emotional story on his Instagram account. The Lakers veteran posted a short clip from an unknown golf course, in which Bronny is seen walking on the green with a club in his hand.
However, it wasn’t the clip that had everyone talking; it was instead the heart-touching caption James wrote along with the video. “Nothing like it man! Hanging out,” James wrote. The LA superstar’s caption indicated that nothing comes close to spending with his family, not even attending the contract extension press conference of his best and most important teammate, Luka Doncic.
