‘Not Worth It’: PGA Tour Pro Constantly Reminded of His ‘Little PR Stunt’ at Valspar Even After Making Amends

Jessica Hadwin is truly one of a kind. No matter the situation, she has something funny or witty up her sleeve. Remember when she called out her husband, Adam Hadwin, for being too Canadian when he apologized to the guard who heckled him at the 2023 Canadian Open? Or when at this year’s Genesis, she brutally trolled Hadwin for not playing well, writing, “This is absolutely nothing against my husband, but I am getting legitimately scared to refresh the PGA Tour app anymore,” on X,  She was at it again, after what the golfer did at Valspar Championship.

So, Adam Hadwin was struggling at the Valspar Championship on Friday. After a chip went wayward, the Canadian golfer took his frustration out on the course, slamming it violently on the ground. Unluckily, there was a sprinkler head where he struck with the club. The sprinkler head came off, and there was water everywhere. But to be fair, had Hadwin known there was a sprinkler here, he would not have struck the ground that way.

“I didn’t know there was a sprinkler there when I struck the ground, so I was really more embarrassed than anything else. Everyone who has ever played golf knows how frustrating it can be, but I have to control myself a little bit more. I’ve got no excuse but to gain control out here.” Hadwin said about the sprinkler incident. He joked after, “I guess my real motivation is to give my wife less to tweet about.” Unfortunately, that did not happen.

She initially tweeted about the incident on X in her hilarious fashion. “Through sickness and health. Amen,” she wrote, alongside a photo that had “0 days since last incident,” written. After this, Adam Hadwin made sure that he made amends. He covered all the costs surrounding the repairs due to the little accident he had caused, and bought lunch for the entire course maintenance department. A good gesture from the Canadian golfer. But Jessica, being Jessica, found a way to make the situation funnier.

She then hilariously mentioned that the couple will now be apologizing to the sprinkler. It wasn’t the end of it. Now, she put out a tweet that contained a screenshot of her mail from the Monetization Team of X stating that she received $20.41 as part of the X Creator Revenue Sharing. Her caption stated, “Adam’s little PR stunt at Valspar only added $7 to this month’s paycheck. 100% was not worth it.”

This isn’t the first time she has shared her earnings from X. In September 2024, Jessica Hadwin posted her X earnings, which were $338.58, and taking a jab at her husband, she said, “Next time Adam says, “How do you think we pay for all these nice things?” I’m hitting him with this.” Then she shared the monetization amount for October, which was a meager $13.41. Her response? “Never mind guys.”

Jessica Hadwin’s tweets are legendary. She routinely calls out her husband through quirky and funny messages on X while also covering a wide range of general topics.

The Genesis Invitational was another occasion where Jessica’s wit was evident. Adam Hadwin had a horrible first round, in which he carded 83. Jessica posted the scorecard with a background that said, “ The scorecard isn’t attractive but you are!” She also added, “I made a series of valentines/memes from Adam’s score card yesterday to try to cheer him up. Here’s my most G rated one. I’d post more, but I fear my family might see them.”

Well, who needs a PR firm pushing your agenda when your wife does it for you? Cannot wait for your next funny tweet, Jessica Hadwin!
