While the annual Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival draws massive crowds to the desert, a constellation of exclusive, star-studded events orbits its periphery, often capturing just as much buzz. Coachella 2025 is in full gear. There was recently massive chaos at the event due to heavy traffic, with people waiting hours to get into the festival. However, it’s Coachella! But the action surrounding it is equally infectious. As thousands flock to the desert, a parallel stream of high-profile events is drawing just as much attention.
These include the Neon Carnival, 818 Outpost, Nylon House, Pandora at the Charm House, and many more. Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade joined one such event alongside celebrities and pop stars.
Wade’s newfound love for golf is well known. After honing his skills in the sport, he joined hands with Dorell Wright to launch the ACE Members Only golf initiative. He has hosted events at the Miami Springs Golf & Country Club. So, when a famous fashion brand decided to host a golf day for this special weekend, Wade was perhaps the perfect choice.
The 3x NBA champ teamed up with the Revolve Festival for its special golf day. This is their 8th annual edition, which kicked off with the FWRD Dinner at the renowned Mister Parker’s, hosted by REVOLVE Group Co-Founder and Co-CEO Michael Mente and Chief Brand Officer Raissa Gerona. The brand posted several snaps and snippets from Wade’s exclusive golf outing on their social media. Wright was also in attendance.
This is an invite-only event. It was followed by the annual REVOLVE pool party, hosted by socialite Kylie Jenner and sponsored by Sprinter Vodka Soda. She wore a pastel latex dress for the event. Several celebrities, including Cardi B and BlackPink’s Lisa and more.
Wade seemingly has had a long relationship with the fashion brand Revolve. Just a few days ago, the 3x NBA champ was seen at a Revolve event with his daughter, Zaya. And, considering Wade’s experience in the sport may have added more to the event.
Beyond the main stages of Coachella, the desert transforms into a playground for exclusive gatherings, and Dwyane Wade’s presence at the Revolve Festival’s golf day underscores the increasing crossover between the worlds of sports, fashion, and celebrity during this highly anticipated weekend.
Dwyane Wade has a massive love for golf!
The Miami Heat legend’s career in the NBA is over. However, the passion inside him to stay competitive and become a better version of himself is far from gone. After retirement, it was golf that continued to fuel the spark. He even said that golf perhaps presents more of a challenge than basketball. He makes it a point to attend the Masters Tournament.
“First of all, you have to go out on a golf course to try to play the game to understand the greatness of this weekend. This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever tried to do in my life, is hit a ball that is not moving. It’s so frustrating. Once you understand the game of golf, you get a better appreciation for these athletes, what they go through,” Wade said.
And when it comes to his performance, Wade is good at it, too. Back in 2023, he had his first hole-in-one at the Pebble Beach Golf Course in California. It’s one of the most exciting shots in golf and a rare feat for an amateur player. Achieving a hole-in-one, especially at a renowned and challenging course like Pebble Beach, is a significant accomplishment for any golfer, let alone an amateur. This feat underscores Wade’s dedication to the sport and his developing skill level.
As D-Wade celebrated the moment on social media, many, including LeBron James, Matt Barnes, Usher, and more, joined in the celebration. Wade was likely the perfect choice to host the golf event during the festival.
His genuine enthusiasm for golf, coupled with his established relationships with prominent brands like Revolve, made him a natural fit for this exclusive event. As the desert hosted a unique blend of music, fashion, and now golf, Wade’s presence underscored the diverse and interconnected nature of celebrity culture during one of the year’s most talked-about festivals.
