While many sports players have to resort to different jobs after retirement, JJ Watt has been lucky. He made good financial decisions, buying a stake in the EFL club Burnley FC in 2023. Now, he has all the time to watch other sports. And he was one of those fans excited about 4-nation NHL face-off tournament between Sweden, USA, Canada, and Finland.
While revealing his true feelings on that, he also revealed one missing thing. It was a tribute to the retired hockey broadcaster, Michael ‘Doc’ Emrick. The ex-Texans DE wrote, “4 Nations is the best idea hockey has had in a long time. Only thing missing is Doc Emrick on the call.” The broadcaster served the game for 50 years, but retired in 2020 after the COVID-19. He is respected by all.

There’s a personal connection between hockey and JJ Watt. The DE played hockey for almost a decade from 4 to 13, even going to Germany to play ice hockey games. But he chose football as his career. And it made him the superstar.
Stay tuned. This story is developing.
