The trade window is reminding us no one in the NBA is safe. If you’re still reeling from the Anthony Davis-Luka Doncic trade I’ve got news for you. Although it will not top the shock that we received yesterday but it’s still huge. The Kings were itching to trade Fox as the deadline loomed closer. Contract talks weren’t going well, and the team’s chances to compete for a title were becoming less realistic. To top it off, the relationship between both sides had definitely soured.
After the Kings took a tough 144-110 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, they dropped to 1-4 on their road trip. With their next stop in Minnesota on Monday, the Kings are wrapping up a challenging six-game stretch. But here’s the real news: Sacramento made a huge move on Sunday. They traded Fox to the San Antonio Spurs, where he’ll team up with the rising star, Victor Wembanyama. In a blockbuster multi-team deal, the Kings will also receive Zach LaVine from the Chicago Bulls, as reported by ESPN’s Shams Charania.
Full trade:
Spurs: De’Aaron Fox, Jordan McLaughlin
Kings: Zach LaVine, Sidy Cissoko, three first round picks (2025 CHA, 2027 SAS, 2031 MIN), three second round picks (2025 CHI, 2028 DEN, 2028 own back)
Bulls: Zach Collins, Tre Jones, Kevin Huerter, their own 2025 pick via SAS https://t.co/UgwylCUYAO

With LaVine headed to Sac-Town, the Golden State Warriors will now have to look elsewhere or maybe at the Windy City only. The Warriors had been looking to add another superstar beside Stephen Curry. They were also on the hunt for a big man, we saw what Quinten Post could do with Curry but he still needs to develop more. So there are only two option left for Golden State.
Jimmy Butler or Nikola Vucevic.
Joe Cowley has reported that the Chicago Bulls still have some strings to pull. Will the Warriors go for the Bulls center Vucevic? Or will they go all out in hopes of making Butler move to California? If they want Butler they might want to hurry. Because the Milwaukee Bucks are interested in the 6x All-Star as well.
This is a developing story…
