“I tried my best to win my first Grand Slam. It hasn’t come yet, but hopefully it will come soon. If not, then I’ll have a baby and make her win the first Grand Slam,” Ons Jabeur joked at the Qatar Open in February, after Madison Keys won her maiden Grand Slam title at 30. Jabeur is 30 as well and has reached three major finals: Wimbledon twice (2022, 2023) and the US Open (2022). But the elusive GS victory hasn’t materialized for the Tunisian. True to his nature, however, she always looks at the lighter side of things. Jabeur’s humor shone through again as she unveiled an exciting new show recently, and her close friend Naomi Osaka couldn’t help but chime in with a playful comment.

Ons Jabeur has faced a challenging stretch on the court. While injuries plagued her 2024 season, 2025 hasn’t been any kinder. Her latest calf injury forced her out of the Miami Open. Beyond fitness struggles, her performances have been below her usual brilliance, with QF runs in Brisbane, Abu Dhabi, and Qatar being her best results so far.

However, Jabeur isn’t letting setbacks define her, though. She recently announced an exciting new show, giving players a platform to share their on-and-off-court journeys. The official WTA page on Instagram dropped a must-watch video featuring Ons Jabeur, captioned, “Uh-oh, Ons Jabeur’s up to something…Introducing, What’s Goin Ons, coming to a screen near you soon @onsjabeur.”

In the clip, the Tunisian star hilariously voiced the chaotic daily grind of tennis players, joking, “Hi, I am Ons Jabeur, Professional tennis player. Bla bla bla.. our sports is facing a crisis. Every day, tennis players are stuck in the same routine. Their lives are struck, repeating the same thing over and over again. But, the good news is, I am one of the most liked players on tour. So I am making my job to bring a little chaos back on tour, to spice things up, and you know, bring back that excitement that we all need. So watch out, because no one is safe from asking, what’s going Ons?”

Jabeur’s announcement instantly caught the eye of Naomi Osaka. As soon as the post went live, Naomi Osaka featured in the comment section with a laughing emoji, “.” But that was not all! Jabeur later took the excitement a step further, re-sharing the video on her IG story, writing: “Coming soon ”

Ons Jabeur isn’t just making waves on the court, she’s making a difference off it too. Alongside launching her exciting new show, “What’s Going Ons?” the Tunisian ace has also set her sights on transforming women’s lives through the World Food Programme (WFP).

But what is Naomi Osaka up to, on the flip side? Well, the Japanese star recently offered a glimpse into her ideal life with her child, a life she considers rightfully hers.

“Living my dream life” —Naomi Osaka opens up about her life with Shai

Since welcoming her daughter, Shai, in July 2023, the Japanese ace Naomi Osaka has embraced a new perspective, one that extends far beyond tennis. While her return to the court has been a rollercoaster, with walkovers in Auckland and the AO followed by a disappointing 1st-round exit at Indian Wells, the 27-year-old isn’t letting setbacks define her.

Motherhood has transformed Osaka’s outlook, allowing her to find joy beyond the game. Shai has become her source of calm and motivation, inspiring her to chase greatness once more.

Recently, Osaka gave fans a heartwarming glimpse into her world, sharing a picture of her colorful floor drawing: a rainbow, an asterisk, and Shai’s name, while captioning it, “Living my dream life and it’s pretty cool .” Even back in January, when she reached the ASB Classic final, she gave fans a glimpse into her new pre-match routine, adding, “I’m going to sleep and then I’m going to talk to my daughter.”

For Osaka, victories and defeats are no longer the only measures of success. Her ultimate goal now? Being the best role model for Shai. Whether she lifts a trophy or faces a tough loss, one thing remains constant: her unwavering dedication to setting an example for her daughter.
