Earlier this month, Mike Perry shook up the MMA scene by revealing that he was offered to step in as KSI’s opponent in a potential MMA bout. Originally, Dillon Danis, known more for his canceled fights than actual bouts, was set to face the YouTuber-turned-boxer KSI in a long-anticipated match that had been brewing since 2023. Misfit Promotions planned the event at the Manchester Arena, billing it as “unfinished business.”
However, just weeks before the fight, KSI announced that he was ill, explaining, “I tried my hardest, but my body has legit just given up. I’m currently in bed, taking antibiotics, trying to recover. My sinuses are hurting to the point where I need Ibuprofen every day,” pushing the fight further into uncertainty. With the KSI vs. Dillon Danis fight postponed, Mike Perry announced Misfit Promotions offered him the chance to replace Danis in an MMA fight against KSI. ‘Platinum’ confirmed, “I said yes to fighting Dillon Danis in MMA. But, they need to come correct. It’s a last-minute call… It would be in April.”
Mike Perry’s remarks sparked controversy when he claimed he had been offered $250k for the fight, a figure KSI later denied. In an interview with ‘The Schmo,’ Perry elaborated, saying, “Dillon Danis was supposed to box KSI. They reached out to me about an MMA fight with him.” He went on, “They were going to offer me around $250k. They called me a liar when I mentioned those numbers, but they never actually made an offer. My team shared the figures we were expecting, but they said we weren’t on the same page, so they didn’t even propose a number.” ‘Platinum’ concluded, “You know, I’m living the good life, man.”

While Mike Perry continues to enjoy the success of his BKFC career, where his brutal knockout style has earned him a reputation, he hasn’t competed in boxing since his loss to Jake Paul last year. Additionally, he hasn’t fought in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship for nearly a year after his win over Thiago Alves. ‘Platinum’s next move remains uncertain, but he’s now focusing on his new business venture, Dirty Boxing Champion, under which he’s opened up the possibility of facing former UFC stars.
Mike Perry shared his thoughts on the possibility of fighting Darren Till
Much like Conor McGregor, Mike Perry has stepped into the world of business following his UFC tenure. While he remains an active and prominent figure in the BKFC—where his all-action style has made him one of the promotion’s biggest stars—’Platinum’ also holds part ownership in the organization. In addition to his success in the ring, Perry took things a step further last year by partnering with Jon Jones’ longtime managers, Malki and Abe Kawa, to launch his own combat sports venture: Dirty Boxing Promotion. The brand made its debut with a pilot event and is now gaining momentum, with Perry looking to headline its next show.
During a recent appearance on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, Mike Perry revisited a long-standing rivalry with Darren Till. He claimed that Till had previously turned down a lucrative $2 million offer to fight him in bare knuckle under BKFC. Disappointed by Till’s decision to instead fight Anthony Taylor in a boxing match for a reported $300K, Perry doubled down on the challenge, saying:
“It makes me crazy that Till says no to $2 million in Bare Knuckle [to fight me] and then he fights Anthony Taylor in boxing for like 300K… Let’s make that one happen. Darren Till vs. ‘Platinum’ Perry under my banner in Dirty Boxing.” Well, it didn’t took long for Till to respond, “I never said no my friend… I said Let’s do one boxing fight and let’s do one bareknuckle fight… You and ur manager never came back to my management so it’s on you.”
