Michael Vick Devastated by Personal Tragedy as He Joins Family in Mourning: “Love You Forever”

2 min read

Legendary Hampton Roads football coach Tommy Reamon passed away on May 22 at age 73. After a 30-plus-year career coaching at six high schools, most recently Denbigh High (where he retired in December), Reamon’s greatest success came at Landstown High. There, he led the Eagles to a 12-1 record and the D6 Eastern Regional Playoff title, establishing himself as a Virginia prep football icon.

Well, he didn’t just mentor numerous future stars; he made a lasting impact on them. Players like quarterbacks Michael Vick (Atlanta, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh) and Aaron Brooks (Green Bay, New Orleans, Oakland) became big names in the NFL. Reamon’s influence extended beyond the gridiron; he guided countless players toward college careers, shaping their futures through strong leadership and deep football knowledge.

But Tommy Reamon’s presence in Michael Vick‘s life is more than a mentor. He was his friend too, who encouraged him to take up the HC job at the Norfolk State Spartans team. And Michael Vick paid tribute to the legendary coach, stating, “A friendship that lasted a lifetime Words can’t explain…love you forever Coach Tommy Reamon ”
